Did you know that using heading styles properly will benefit all people, not just those with a disability? When Heading levels are used correctly, they will automatically create an outline which can be seen by using the Navigation Pane (In the Microsoft WORD Ribbon, select "view" and then check the box "Navigation Pane" and it will appear on the left side of the document)

Heading levels add navigation. The reader can easily locate the section they are looking for and focus on that specific topic. This is especially beneficial with large documents where scrolling through the document is tedious and time consuming.

Heading levels can also help as you write or edit documents! Instead of scrolling or paging down to find the section you wish to edit, you can click on the corresponding heading level in the Navigation Pane and WORD will jump to that section.
